Then stepped in my winning combination: Lush's mint julips lip scrub and Dr Lipp's original nipple balm for lips (what a mouthful). All I can say is wow, the effect this has had on my dry cracked lips has been phenomenal and I couldn't be more pleased.
So first up, the scrub. A gorgeous sugar scrub, which tastes of mint chocolate (nom) that does an amazing job at scrubbing away all the dryness. No nasties, just castor sugar, jojoba oil, vanilla extract and peppermint oil, to scrub and moisturize your lips back to health.
Next up, Dr Lipp's original nipple balm for lips. So getting past the name, this stuff really is incredible, I bought this after reading all the hype online, not really believing it would live up to my high expectations, but boy was I wrong. This lip balm has brought my lips back from their sorry state, to full, plump and moisturized again. To sum up in two words: In Love. Thank you internet. ;)
Although on the pricier end for a lip balm, I would still recommend it, if like me you suffer from dry lips (and a penchant for matte lipstick) and have not been able to find your saviour.
Do you have any lip saviours worth looking out for? Tips and tricks more than welcome.

Surely 'nipple balm for lips' is actually lip balm and they've just thrown the word nipple in for jokes!?
ReplyDeleteI find using an SPF stick under lip balm, the kind that skiers use, is great for keeping lips moister for longer, even on cool days.

I really hope that is why they did it. I get weird looks if people ask to use it, which I quiet like.
DeleteThanks for the tip, I'll look into it. :)
